User beware: This is nothing but nagware! It bombards your desktop with useless notifications, pushing you to sign up for their mailing list. I’ve read plenty of reviews from users who bought the pro plans, thinking it’d improve things, but all they got were more nagging emails and zero meaningful changes. Save yourself the trouble and just use Ublock, Ublock-lite, or Ublock-origin with a good block list. Don’t waste your money on "paid" services for basic functionality when you can get better, completely free options elsewhere. This isn’t free—it’s a time sink. The only thing you’re getting for free here is a massive waste of your time! Infact after I tried to uninstall it, then they tried to bait me into keeping it by giving me crums of functionallity for free but nothing usefull for the money. And these are darkpatterns best avoided.

I signed up for Premium with a free trial, but they still put a hold on the money in my account, screwing me up royally. Before you sign up for Premium, make sure that you have the money in your account to cover your bills AND their so-called free trial.

This addon is just here to scare you and to push you so hard to pay money by providing card information for a 7days trial that unlocks the whole service (10€/months after discount my gosh). Of course the addon will tell you that you have a certain amount of threats on your browser, but won't tell you anything or won't provide any solution before providing card or paypal information so they can charge you if you forget to unsubscribe withing the 7 days. So in the end, I removed this addon. They want your money and don't care about your security.

Guardio takes the fear out of surfing the net.

I was emailed by Guardio advising that I needed to renew my subscription with them. I was urged to do so for $119.88. It did NOT advise that this was 119.88USD. The site obviously expects everybody just to automatically know that. I have just checked my credit card statement has been charged NZD196.84 which is $77 more than I was expecting. I think this is very misleading and hopefully any possible future customers will read this review and convert the amount they are quoted to be charged, from USD into their own currency. I feel I have been milead and ripped off.

I like Guardio very much, except for the new popup I can't stop. the rest is better for me than the old one I had. Which McAfee and Guardio are your cheaper, Hurray for cheaper is better, thank you Guardio. Sincerely William Klindworth
